LASIK Eye Surgical Procedure
While doing the operation, a specially trained eye surgeon creates a precise, hinged and thin corneal flap. In order to do so, the doctor usually uses a microkeratome. Thereafter he/she pulls back the flap for exposing the underlying corneal tissue. In the next stage the excimer laser give a new shape to the cornea and then the flap is repositioned on the underlying cornea without any sutures.
With the course of time, as technology is advancing, Lasik is gaining more and more popularity. Nowadays, bladeless flap incisions, faster lasers and wavefront-guided techniques have improved this eye surgical procedure and have made it more reliable to the people.
