Electronic Cigarettes Help Smokers "Go Green"

As the economy is becoming more unstable and the saying
"Go Green" becomes a household expression, smokers are seeking an
alternative and finding it in the Electronic Cigarette. Smokers all over the world have flicked their
last butt and have turned to e-cigs, not only to cut back on litter and pollution,
but to save a little cash as well.

It is predicted that approximately 40% of smokers everywhere
will make the switch to electronic cigarettes over the next 10 years. This will not only be good for the
environment (cutting back on the 2 billion plus cigarettes being flicked into
our streets, grass, and sidewalks daily) but it is a much healthier alternative
to traditional cigarettes that contain more than 4,000 harmful ingredients.

Aside from the carbon monoxide that the Surgeon General
warns against on the box of traditional cigarettes, they contain many other
ingredients that can do harm to our bodies including formaldehyde. Yes, the same chemical used to preserve dead
bodies. Arsenic also graces the presence
of our beloved nicotine and is also used in rat poisons. Benzene can be found in pesticides and
gasoline, but it too is present in high levels in cigarette smoke and accounts for half
of all human exposure to this hazardous chemical. There are many more
ingredients like these that can be extremely harmful that are found in a burning cigarette.

But what about the e-cig? Electronic cigarettes contain ZERO harmful ingredients. No carcinogens, dangerous chemicals or toxic
metals. They feel like a cigarette,
taste like a cigarette and deliver nicotine just like a cigarette. They even produce a water vapor that is exhaled
which is completely safe and won't harm innocent bystanders. So what's the catch? Well, there's no odor, no stained teeth, and
no inhaling dangerous substances.

As so many smokers turn to this new alternative, there is an
increasing sense of hope in the fight to keep our planet beautiful and our
bodies healthy. There is no research
that proves either way if an electronic cigarette can help smokers quit, but it does seem like a
more sensible choice not only for our earth, but for our bodies as well.
